As we are in the midst of winter, it’s the perfect opportunity to elevate our style through layering and texture using scarves – the most versatile and timeless accessory. One of the standout trends for autumn winter 2023/2024 is using bold colours and prints to make a statement, such as electric blue, cherry red and neon green.

This season, break free from the conventional; styling a scarf doesn’t have to be your traditional around-the-neck approach. An oversized scarf can be worn as a shawl or a cape, fashioning a long-striped scarf into a balaclava.

Scarves with fringe details or embroidery offer more exciting textures to elevate a simple coat or jacket this season. 

Somerset House - Missing Threads

In Somerset House, The exhibition Missing Threads delves into the impact of the cultural, counter-cultural and political backdrop of the 20^th and 21^st centuries that have shaped the identity of black British style and in turn, the mainstream fashion culture.

The exhibition tells the story of black creativity through four themes: home, tailoring, performance, and nightlife. Looking into the theme of performance through black culture figures – whether through dance, fashion, music, and film.
